Robert
White and Ana Sol Gutierrez on the Linea Directa Program Sunday,
November 16th, 6:00 pm (EST) Telemundo. This
Sunday, November 16th, at 6:00 pm on Telemundo, the Línea Directa program,
hosted by Andrea Sarralde, will feature Ambassador Robert White and Maryland state
legislator Ana Sol Gutierrez. They will be discussing the Blue Democracy
Campaign in El Salvador, a grassroots movement working to establish access to
water as a human right in El Salvador. They will also discuss the current political
situation in El Salvador in the context of the upcoming legislative, municipal
and presidential elections in 2009. Ambassador Robert White served as the
U.S. embassador to El Salvador in 1980-81, and currently serves as the president
of the Center for International Policy. Ana Sol Gutierrez is currently
serving her 2nd term in the Maryland House of Delegates. She was the the first
Salvadoran-American elected to public office in the USA (1990). Línea
Directa is an award-winning Spanish-language television series that provides Latino
families living in the Washington metropolitan area with information on their
rights, as well as on important health, legal, education and social service issues. |
