IMET: The Bahamas
The following description of the IMET program for The Bahamas comes from the U.S. State Department's April 2002 FY2003 Congressional Budget Justification for Foreign Operations:1

International Military and Education Training (IMET) and Foreign Military Financing (FMF) funds are used to educate, train, and equip the Bahamian Police and Defense Forces to increase their effectiveness.
