Psychological Operations Course (O22)

 

Duration: 8 Weeks

Purpose: This course provides basic psychological operations (PSYOP) training to prepare students for a PSYOP assignment and to train officers to function as advisors to their commander in the use of PSYOP in the Internal Defense and Development (IDAD) environment in support of military operations and national development plan(s).

Scope: This course consists of an analysis of military psychological operations; analysis of populations; establishing programs in support of national development programs; use of available means of communications; the production and dissemination of information; social science concepts pertinent to PSYOP; operations and intelligence; development, production and dissemination of PSYOP products; and PSYOP training management. Particular attention is focused on operational techniques of task organization, development, production, and dissemination of PSYOP products.
