Location:Inter-American Air Forces Academy (IAAFA, Lackland AFB, TX) Scope1The U.S. Naval Justice School is charged with responsibility for this course at the IAAFA. This course has been conceived for high-level international and U.S. officers, from all branches of the armed forces. Its objective is to teach not only fundamental principles of the rule of law and its relationship to human rights, but also to teach how these concepts fit in with the planning and implementation of military operations. In this course special attantion is paid to such fundamental themes as rules of war, the Law of Armed Conflict, and the role that the military justice system plays in the achievement of military objectives.
