Mobile Training Team: Maritime Commerce Control, Infrastructure Development (No. P319136, 6 months - 2 years) |
Scope1This program assists nations in developing Maritime Commerce Control programs through the integration of the Waterways and Maritime Management (WAMM) Concept. This program is long term in nature with Coast Guard advisors / trainers providing an in-country continuous presence until the organization is established and self-sufficient. The instructors provide the full spectrum of courses to develop the infrastructure necessary to enforce the maritime laws and regulations desired by the host nation. This is accomplished by assessing the state of the host nation's maritime program, resources and the organization designated as the lead for this responsibility. The next step will be to develop a training plan with the host nation to meet program goals. The final step would be to carry out the mutually developed training plan to the point of established self-sufficiency on the part of the host nation.
