May 7, 2007 – Participated in panel discussion on the Iraq war and George Tenet's book along with Larry Wilkerson (former chief of staff to Colin Powell), Col. Pat Lang (former AF intelligence officer), Peter Eisner (Washington Post) and Newton Royce (Long Island Newsday).

May 15-18, 2007 - Lectured at Western Washington University on the Middle East, the CIA, Bush foreign policy, and issues of security and liberty, and gave public lecture in Bellingham, Washington, on the decline and fall of the CIA.

May 21, 2007 - Lectured at a public library in Anacortes, Washington on Bush national security policy.

June 18, 2007 - Panelist on "The War of Ideas: A Real Security Agenda for America" at Take Back America 2007, Washington, D.C.

June 19, 2007 - Albuquerque Committee on Foreign Relations, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mel Goodman spoke on the decline and fall of the CIA.

June 21, 2007 - Veterans for Peace. Mel Goodman spoke on the decline and fall of the CIA and provided an inside look at the politicization of national intelligence in making the case for war with Iraq.
